The Field Short has especially been drafted for the use under hot climate conditions and closes the gap between comfort and functional capabilty in this area. It features the proven waist adjustment system with elastic components for better comfort and absorption of body movements. The integrated main thigh pockets offer sufficient room and provide a seperate compartment for the user's smartphone – everything is accessible even when wearing gloves. A small pocket on outside of the thigh is construed to stow a knife or a pistol mag.The Field Short comes with some more features: The belt area is optimized for rigger & safety belts as well as for suspenders and is comfortable due to the use of soft materials. The pocket concept has been optimized; cargo pockets have been extended with an an additional compartment which is accessible from outside and holds a 30rds magazine for rapid access. Profound modifications apply to the knee area which is now equipped with a handy inward knee height adjustment. The modular knee pad compartment allows the use of a wide range of different knee pad inserts from different brands. We particularly recommend the optionally available TRUST HP from D3O which features outstanding knee protection. The radio pouch is designed to fit AN/PRC-152, AN/PRC-148, and other similarly sized handheld radios. The pocket can be opened to easily access the screen and buttons without removing the radio device. The pouch is closed and secured using a reliable polymer buckle and two velcro-padded shock cords. The bottom has a zipper for easy battery access.The pouch consists of two main parts - a mounting plate and the radio compartment.The mounting part is manufactured of a 500D Nylon base fitted with two aluminum tubes that guarantee rigid construction. It has two PALS straps for easy attachment to virtually any PALS-based vest, backpack, or other gear-carrying systems. An extra side strap with a polymer buckle helps furtherly stabilize the pouch to maximize comfort and performance.The radio compartment is made from the same 500D Nylon, foam, and durable laminate.
